VIRTUALIZATION OF SERVERS

 Linux is an operating system that allows you to interact with your computer and run other programs. Linux is modeled after a Unix-like operating system. From its inception, Linux was designed to be a multi-tasking, multi-user system. These facts are enough to differentiate Linux from other more popular operating systems. However, Linux is more different than you can imagine. Nobody owns Linux, unlike other operating systems. Much of their development is carried out by volunteers altruistically.

Prerequisites:
• Knowledge of English for reading.
• Have completed or fully understand the contents of the Advanced Linux Administration course.

Course characteristics:
• The course will last 40 hours with practical laboratory activities, each student having their own equipment to work with.
• The ESR offers audiovisual material for learning.
• The student will submit progress of the work he / she does through the virtual education platform.

Methodology:
The constructivist method will be used, starting from the review of the students' previous knowledge to proceed to the construction of new knowledge from the use of dynamic methodological strategies (problem-based learning, collaborative work, case method, learning by projects, among others), books, videos and spaces for communication such as forums, messages.

Competences to be developed:

At the end of the course the student will understand the advantages of virtualization, will know the different types of virtualization and how the virtualization process occurs. The installation of a host and various types of guests as well as techniques for working with hard drives of virtual machines, internal networks, migration and cloning.
